Manchester City star Jack Grealish marked a special moment in the 2-0 win against Leicester City by dedicating his goal to his late brother Keelan, who passed away 25 years ago due to Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS).

A Goal with Deep Meaning
Grealish, making his first Premier League start since December, scored just two minutes into the game at the Etihad Stadium. After the match, he revealed that the goal was in honor of his younger brother Keelan, who died at just nine months old in April 2000.
Speaking to Sky Sports, an emotional Grealish said:
“My little brother passed away 25 years ago today. This day is hard on my family. My mum and dad were here, so to score and win was brilliant.”
Later, he shared a heartfelt message on Instagram, saying:
“With me always, especially on this day… That was for you, Keelan.”
Pep Guardiola’s Praise for Grealish
Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola praised Grealish’s character, saying:
“Jack is an incredible human being, very generous. I didn’t know about the anniversary, but I’m sure his family remembers Keelan every day. It was special for him to score today.”
What’s Next for Grealish?
With Erling Haaland injured and Manchester City’s attack struggling this season, Grealish has a chance to earn a regular starting spot. However, his future at the club remains uncertain, with two years left on his contract and speculation about Guardiola’s summer transfer plans.
Manchester Derby Up Next
City now turns its focus to the Manchester Derby against United at Old Trafford, where they aim to avenge their December defeat. Will Grealish get another chance to shine?
